In a video posted by TVC, the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, highlighted some of the great things Obasanjo did when he was the president of Nigeria.

He stated, “Obasanjo left this country; whatever you may say about him, he left with about 50 billion dollars in foreign reserves.

He added that no matter what people may say about the former president, Obasanjo, he has by far done what no Nigerian president has done.

He further stated that maybe Tinubu is a miracle worker, because I need a miracle, but I know he is not a miracle worker, but he will walk the path to ensure that Nigeria gets better.

Speaking further, Ayo Fayose expressed satisfaction and pleasure with the state of Nigeria under former President Obasanjo.

He further stated, “With all respect, when Muhammad Buhari was in office, up until the end of his second tenure, he was still blaming Goodluck Jonathan, the past administration of the PDP under Yaradua; he was still blaming them.”

According to him: “whatever you may say about him, Obasanjo left this country with about $50 billion in foreign reserves. Obasanjo did not stop there; he cleared our debts. Today, even the excess crude account is completely depleted, nothing is supporting Nigeria’s spending in dollars; maybe Nigerians don’t know that. It is when you have certain levels of foreign reserves that can support your spending, the credibility of your currency, and all that, but where is the foreign reserve? It is badly depleted.”
