Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has explained his absence at the 8th-day prayer for the late former governor of the state, RotimiAkeredolu.

The spokesman to Aiyedatiwa, Adeniyan Ebenezer, said the event has nothing to do with the governor or the government.

Ebenezer said the organisers did not notify or invite anybody in government.

He said: “This was an event organised by a group of followers of the late governor and even only a handful of his appointees were there.”
