A haulage truck belonging to the popular Dangote Cement company on Sunday afternoon, lost control and rammed into a living quarter at Iserin area of Iseyin, Iseyin local government area.

The Chronicler Newspaper correspondent who visited the scene of the incident immediately after the incident occurred, attributed the incident to loss of break system by the truck while the driver and his companion jumped out and vanished into the thin air.

The people who gathered to rescue residents of the affected buildings said the driver and his ‘motor-boy’ thought there might be casualties after the collision, which made them run away.

”The vehicle’s break system was out of control and you can see that the road is sloppy along Iserin road, they jumped out and ran away,” says a resident that sought anonymity.

A woman popularly called ‘Mama Dele’ who has a shop that was also affected by the accident said she praised God upon getting to the scene because had she not gone to church, she would have been consumed by the accident.

As at the time of filing this report, the driver of the truck and his mate were yet to show up at the scene but people said they must have gone to the police to report the case.
