Members of the legislative council of Ido local government area, on Thursday, suspended 9 out of 11 supervisors on the grounds of abuse of office and gross misconduct.
The councillors, in their sitting, condemned the action of the said supervisors through the video sent on social media, claiming that they passed votes of no confidence in the Executive Chairman of the local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo.
They, however, claimed that the action amounted to abuse of office and against the oath of office they swore to.
The nine suspended supervisors are:
- 1. Mr Busari Kolawole
- 2. Mr Olalere Yusuff
- 3. Mr Adeleke Tunde
- 4. Mrs. Nike Yusuff
- 5. Mr Oladokun Semiu
- 6. Mr Tajudeen Adekola
7. Mr Osho Adebayo
- 8. Mr Oladimeji Sulaimon
- 9. Mr Oyeniran Segun.
In a similar development, the councilors impeached the leader of the house, Hon. Tirimsiyu Abidoye for gross incompetence and obtaining money under pretense with the names of other councilors.
The Deputy leader, Hon. Omotosho Rafiu, has been immediately sworn in as the new leader of the house while Hon. Akanji Jeleel is the new Deputy leader of the house.
