Nigerian veteran singer, Eedris Abdulkareem has revealed what former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo called him and his parents after he released a song titled ‘Jaga-Jaga’ in which he criticized the government.
In a video that was posted on the official Instagram page of The Honest Bunch Podcast, during an interview with Nedu, he disclosed that Obasanjo called him a stupid boy and that it’s his mother and his father who are Jaga-Jaga.
In his statement, he said, “When I was sleeping, someone called me on the phone and told me to turn on the television because Obasanjo was talking about me.
“Obasanjo said I’m a stupid boy and that it’s my mother and my father that’s Jaga-Jaga. I was so happy that my message got to the president.
“Three months later, Obasanjo gathered his governors, and they were going to Europe to look for foreign investors, and my friend, who was a German ambassador, called me to come and perform at an event, and knowing that the president was coming, immediately they played my song. Obasanjo got angry and left the event.”
