Several players of the Kano Pillars FC U-19 team have been rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries in a road accident on Tuesday, October 22. The players were en route to the New Jos Stadium for their Matchday 5 fixture in the inaugural U-19 Youth League against Plateau United U-19, when the accident occurred. According to the media directorate of the team, several players and the driver sustained injuries in the accident and have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

From Ring Road to Challenge, from Yemetu to UI, from Dugbe to Sango, Ibadan has become a construction site. The fuel loading schedule by Dangote Refinery has revealed that the facility recorded 748million litres supply shortfall in its obligation to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd ) in the month of September and October, 2024. Though the document sighted by this newspaper did not reveal the reason for the output dip, it showed that Dangote refinery recorded this shortfall, being 30 per cent average for the two months. A Divisional Police Officer (DPO) has blown the whistle on the endemic corruption plaguing the Nigeria Police Force. In an exclusive interview with SaharaReporters, the DPO revealed that Divisional Police Offices across the country are forced to operate on a meager quarterly budget of just N15,000 to N30,000.
