The Kano State command of the Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the tragic fire incident at a mosque in the Laraba Abasawa area of Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has secured the conviction of two Chinese nationals, Duan Ya Hong and Xiao Yi, for their involvement in illegal mining in Kwara State. A 70-year-old butcher, simply identified as Yekeen Alaja has reportedly been beaten to death in Moniya Ibadan The incident happened during an argument on Thursday, May 16, at the Moniya Abattoir in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state. The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has ordered all filling stations across the country to commence the sale of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Engr Farouk Ahmed, the chief executive of NMDPRA, disclosed this during a meeting in Abuja. He said it is now mandatory for filling stations to increase CNG accessibility for consumers.
