As part of deliberate efforts to tackle security headlong, the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Asaba, has recorded a major breakthrough in his fight against terrorism, banditry and illegal gun running among others by successfully busting illegal arms and ammunition factory in Onicha Olona forest in Delta State. 

The Army raided the factory located inside the forest and recovered drones, explosives and a catche of arms and ammunition.
The commander 63 Brigade, Asabz, Brigadier General Ogochukwu Unachukwu conducted journalists round the factory.
The suspects, a family of 8 including the parents confessed to the crime of gun running saying they operated the factory as a family business.
They specialize in the manufacturing and repair of arms, drones and explosives.
“The warning to such people is that we will get to you. Anybody that’s involved in the act of insurgency or criminality that’s against the peace and stability security of Nigeria, no matter how you run; no matter how you camouflage, we will get to you,” he said.
Brigadier Unachukwu disclosed that the suspects fabricated normal magazine of AK-47 of 30 to 60 rounds and also rent guns to criminals.
The home of the suspect was discovered to be laden with materials and equipments for the production of arms.
According to the parents, their son had the passion for producing and repairing guns
The suspects, however, pleaded for mercy.
