A foremost sports club in Osun State, Osogbo Tennis Club, in conjunction with the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun, will on Sunday, 12th May, 2024, host the State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to novelty games and celebratory birthday dinner.
The Club which was established in 1991, has over the years, grown to be a one-stop hub for fitness, recreation, networking and an abode for opinion moulding.
In a diary of events released by Dr Olusegun Daramola, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, the event will begin with a novelty match between the Speaker Rt.Hon Adewale Egbedun and Engr. Femi Daramola (Interfem Construction).
Also, there will be a game between two royal fathers who are members of the Club; the Olufon of Ifon-Osun, HRM, Oba Peter Oluwole Akinyooye and the Owa of Igbajo, HRM, Oba Stephen Ademola Makinde.
In the same vein, to enable Governor Adeleke to enjoy a top notch tennis game, there will be a scintillating doubles between Niyi Oguntunde and Hafiz Dere vs Adekunle Uthman and Ezekiel Owoeye.
The night will be climaxed with a dinner spiced with music and social engagements with the governor and other guests while the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Adetunji is expected to be the Chief Host and the National Vice Chairman South West of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Kamoru Ajisafe, will be the Special Guest of Honour.
Expected dignitaries at the event include Governor Adeleke, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the State Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, Former Speakers, National Assembly Members, among others.
