Former international Daniel Amokachi will be one of the assistant coaches to new Super Eagles coach Finidi George.
NFF president Ibrahim Gusau announced this appointment today at the media presentation of Finidi.
Amokachi was an assistant coach when Nigeria last won the AFCON in 2013 in South Africa.
His latest appointment was pushed by politicians.
He has previously handled the country’s U23s as well as the CHAN Eagles.
The other local assistant for the Eagles coach is Olatunji Baruwa, who will continue as goalkeeper trainer.
