Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Salihu Adelabu led the Oyo state delegates that participated at the Education World Forum in London.
Commissioner along with the Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran and Director Higher and Continuing Education, Mr. Adewale Oluwole, actively contributed to the agenda of the forum, which centered on the policies and applications that will ensure strong education systems and promote inclusive, equitable and quality education for all.
While speaking with newsmen, Adelabu explained that the submit focused on the role of technology in enhancing learning and the need for innovative education systems that provide concrete solutions to key issues, such as climate change.
He hinted that education as one of the cardinal agenda of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde led administration in Oyo state will continue to make use of ICT to uplift education sector in the state.
He maintained that the ministry of education, Science and Technology will continue its relentless efforts to enhance the use and value of technology in education without disregarding moral and ethical responsibilities.
The Education World Forum, which took place between May 19 and 22, brought together experts from ministries of education, universities, organizations, and companies working in the field of education.
Challenges and opportunities in education were evaluated at the event, and sessions were organized with speakers from around the world.
