It has been specially learnt that Gusau flew out of Abuja to London Monday.
A top official confirmed the NFF boss is in the English capital city, just as it has also been confirmed that Sports Minister Enoh has found his way there.
The purpose of the London visit has yet to be ascertained, though.
Last month, the NFF announced they will appoint a new foreign technical adviser for the Super Eagles after the country’s 2026 World Cup hopes suffered a huge setback on the back of a draw at home with South Africa and a loss against Benin.
The football federation went ahead to promise that such a coach will be in place before the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in September.
However, both the NFF technical department and the NFF technical committee have been left in the dark as regards the fresh search for such a coach.
It has even been suggested that the NFF leadership will now prefer to bypass the technical committee and do the head hunting directly as was the case when then NFF president Amaju Pinnick handpicked Gernot Rohr and Jose Peseiro.
The Sports Minister has since said the country will have to appoint a foreign coach with a pedigree that will excite Nigerians, even as he wondered how such a coach will be paid.
