Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, celebrated the careers of 42 retired  staff members from the Ministry, praising their dedication and contributions to the development of the education sector.

At a Retirement Party, organized by the Ministry in honour of 42 retirees from 2022-2024,held at the Wesley College of Science Elekuro, Ibadan, Prof. Salihu commended the retirees for their tireless efforts, commitment, and sacrifices, which have significantly impacted the lives of numerous students and the education system as a whole.

The Commissioner, while presenting gifts to them, acknowledging their years of service and dedication to the Ministry.

In his remarks, Prof. Salihu said, “Today, we gather to celebrate the remarkable careers of our esteemed colleagues, who have selflessly served this Ministry with distinction. Your contributions have been invaluable, and your legacies will continue to inspire and motivate us.”

The retirees, who have collectively served for over 30–35  years, were hailed as heroes and trailblazers in the education sector. They were celebrated for their unwavering commitment to improving education in the state.

The ceremony was attended by top officials from the Ministry, family members, and friends of the retirees, who came to show their support and appreciation for their loved ones.

As the retirees begin their well-deserved rest, the Education Commissioner and the entire Ministry extend their heartfelt gratitude for their service and wish them a happy and fulfilling retirement.
