Spain, on Sunday, defeated England 2-1 to win the coveted Euro 2024 trophy.

The first half of the match ended goalless, but La Roja took the lead immediately after the break, while Nico Williams finished off a fine team move past Jordan Pickford.

The Three Lions levelled the game in the 73rd minute, after substitute Cole Palmer drilled the ball in. Mikel Oyarzabal then slid in to tuck home Marc Cucurella’s low cross.

The final result means England have lost the European Championship finals back-to-back.
