Abuja Mega Rally has been postponed to allow patriotic Nigerians to monitor plans and activities of Opposition Leaders as it unfold across the 36 States and Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, as we, June 12 Activists, are urging the Governments at three tier levels to declare State of emergency on food security.
Tinubu Mandate Protection Mega Rally (part II) was initially slated to hold 11:00am on Monday, 22 July, 2024, inside Unity Fountain Square, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, but has now been postponed by us, the Organiser, Coaliton of Pro – Democracy Groups for A Better Nigeria, otherwise known as Coalition of June 12 Activists, after careful study of the true situation of things regarding the planned Nationwide Protests being spearheaded by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors, all of whom spoke out their minds through the Communique of their meeting held on Wednesday in Enugu condemning the APC Government at this sensitive period of serious campaign in both Edo and Ondo States simply because it allowed Supreme Court to return power to the People at grassroots through the landmark judgement on Local Government Autonomy without fear or favour. They called themselves “People Democratic Party” with motto “Power To The People” but Today, it’s clear to everybody that its true name is “People Deceive People” with motto “Hunger To The People”.
While their Coallegues in All Progressives’ Congress (APC) accepted it in good faith in order to move the Nation forward, we learnt on a good authority that they have perfected plan in conjunction with Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party Candidate in 2023 Presidential Election, to cause unrest and mayhem during these10 days of planned Protests.
Since our common belief is that rise in cost of living occasioned by human made inflation in the prices of essential goods and services, most especially foodstuffs, could be tackled by the Government, we therefore urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take a bold step through declaration of state of emergency in the area food security and back it up by implementing same without further delay. All Governors and Local Government Chairmen must follow suit.
“An hungry man is an angry man”, Yoruba says the samething, “Ebi ki wo nu, ki Oro mi o wo”.
Thousands of Farmers, if not millions, have now been chased away from their farms across the States of Federation by the notorious Fulani Herdsmen, Kidnappers and Bandits while activities of middle men equally remain unchecked. Various Market and Trade Associations could be disbanded to allow the poor to breath in this Country.
Which simply means insecurity and activities of the middle men are two major factors that caused hunger in the land and they must therefore be given adequate attention.
As Pro – Democracy Groups, we are all happy Today that in history, our own Democracy clocked uninterrupted 25 years and we appreciate the untiring efforts of the Electorate in bringing this Government to power last year May 29 and as a responsible President, we advise him to divert major efforts to quench insecurity, boost agricultural sector, check activities of middle men through price control and temporary reduce efforts on other less essential and ongoing projects.
It’s time for the innocent citizens and the electorate to start monitoring the subvertive moves of the regrouping Opposition Leaders and Enemies of this new Government that came into power a year ago, when our economy had totally collapsed and the entire system was rotten, courtesy of the past Governments, the PDP Governors, Mr Peter Obi, Labour Party Candidate in 2023 Presidential Election, his followers, Obi-dients, Mr Omoyele Sowore, who is AAC Presidential Candidate, Dele Farotimi, Charly Boy, Chief Dele Momodu and Others, all of whom are major
players in #EndSARS (Part I), as they go ahead again with their plan for 10 days of rage, 10 days chaos, 10 days of looting, 10 days of shooting, 10 days of maiming, 10 days of disturbance, 10 days of no work, 10 days of no Business and they are busy mobilising innocent People for the evil action using campaign for peaceful protest as a decoy under the 10 days of rage headline. Perhaps, they don’t know the meaning of rage?
We expect them to stage this kind of 10 day protest in their individual Villages and not target Lagos State as Centre of attraction, out of envy, because of its economic importance in Nigeria and home base of Mr President.
Part I caught everybody unaware including security Agencies because it had never happened before but this part II tagged 10 days of rage with adequate publicity requires us to be at alert, recording, snapping them as they take dangerous moves and forwarding same to social media for the whole World to see.
The political undertone is to shield the face of the Electorate away from voting for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Gubernatorial Candidates of All Progressives’ Congress (APC), in Ondo and Edo Elections holding in September and paint this Government black.
Having gotten this message clear, we have therefore postponed Pro – Democracy Groups’ Rally slated to hold inside Unity Fountain Square, FCT, Abuja, on Monday, to closely monitor the ongoing subvertive activities of these Pretenders and to allow everybody gather enough evidences on social media against them. Protest will come, protest will go but the Government will remain and will be in best position to take up these forwarded evidences against them 1 by 1 in Court of law.
While they were busy with the evil plans as usual, APC just succeded in wining our old friend and Comrade and former factional President of National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) to Comrade Oluwole Badmus Wolly Bee of Unilorin, Philip Shuaib, reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, back to its fold from the PDP. That’s the Politics! After the election, they will start making noise.
Nigerians say no to #EndSARS Part II. International Community say no to Civilian Coup, June 12 Activists say no to Military takeover.
