Cash was always going to be the main issue with the hiring of former Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire coach Herve Renard and that is what it has now proved to be.

SCORENigeria was reliably informed that his agent tabled a monthly salary of $180,000 before the NFF technical committee that quizzed him.

Privately, the representative said the minimum his client will accept would be $1.5 Million.

However, even this lowered expectation would still be beyond the NFF budget for a new coach.

There will be no agreement.
