The chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Barrister Isaac Omodewu, is dead.

Details surrounding his death in still sketchy as of the time of filing this Press Release.

It was gathered that Omodewu died in the early hours of Today, Monday, in the United States of America.

Omodewu, who was elected APC chairman in October 2021, has reportedly been receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the US since December 2023.

The Otu-born politician was a two-time commissioner in the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

He was a man with large heart, Grassroots’ Politician and Leader of all seasons.

He graciously donated Hall for the celebration of 2022 Yoruba National Day in Ibadan, where President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, was adopted by a multitude in attendance as only Yoruba Presidential Candidate for 2023 Presidential Election and to God be the glory, this same Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is the Executive President, Federal Republic of Nigeria Today.

As usual since 2001, event was organised by Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba, Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, and he was one of the key Dignitaries alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Southwest Governors, Arewa, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Afenifere/NADECO Leaders and various Youth and Students’ Organisations that are being expected at this year edition coming up Monday, 23 September, 2024, by 11am, celebrating a core Progressive in our midst, Elderstateman and Veteran Actor of uncommon dimensions, Chief Lere Paimo, MFR, alias Eda Onile-Ola, @ 85 inside the newly renovated Wole Soyinka Theatre, formerly Arts Theatre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan Oyo State.

By God’s grace, we would observe a minute silence in his honour alongside other late Heroes and Heroines of Democracy
