Oyo State Government, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, has launched the build-A-Then holiday camp program for secondary school students in the state.
The program, which was launched by the Federal government was to build the capacity of students in the states of the federation.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the programme, held at the Oyo State Tech-Hub CBN Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Samonda, Ibadan, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Salihu Adelabu, stated that the collaboration was to build the tech skills of the students to compete favorably in the digital world.
The Commissioner encouraged the students to consider themselves lucky to be part of the participants in the boot camps for the selected schools in Oyo state.
The commissioner said that the program was part of the government’s commitment to offer unique learning experiences aimed at fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to secondary school students.
He appreciated the federal government for the opportunity for Oyo State to be part of the digital Tech boot camp.
The event had in attendance, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof Babatunde Misbaudeen, Director of Information Technology, Engr. Adabanija Raheemat Abisola and host of others.
