The Akwa Ibom State Police Command on 2nd September, 2024 received in audience Commissioner for Internal Security and Water Ways Gen. Koko Essien, RTD with members of his team who visited to commiserate with officers and men of the Command on the untimely demise of Late CP Waheed Ayilara.

The Commissioner and his team were received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration, DCP Regina UdoEtte and other members of the Akwa Ibom Police Management Team.

Gen. Koko Essien in his message of condolence Onbehalf of the Ministry urged the Police to be consoled in the fact that Late CP Waheed Ayilara lived an eventful life. He encouraged the force to be strengthen and draw strength from the Bible teaching that holds that there is a time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die.

The DCP while responding appreciated the Commissioner for leading members of his team on the visit. DCP Regina UdoEtte informed that the Command though have lost the CP at a time that was not expected however added also that the ideals of Late CP Ayilara and his dreams of a crime free state shall not die. She appreciated immensely the Commissioner for leading his team to the Command on the visit and assured that the Police in Akwa Ibom shall do all within it’s powers to maintain the Peace, sanctity and security in the State.
