An unfortunate incident occurred on Friday evening in Dopemu, Lagos, where a woman lost her life under mysterious circumstances after visiting a hotel with an unidentified man.
According to a report filed at the Dopemu Police Division, the hotel’s manager stated that at around 9:30pm, a man and a woman checked in for a short rest. However, the hotel failed to record the identities of either guest.
An hour later, the woman rushed out of the room, complaining of feeling overheated. The manager provided her with cold water, but her condition worsened.
She was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital on Dopemu Road, where she was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the man who accompanied her to the hotel had fled the scene.
The hotel’s manager has since been taken into police custody to assist in the investigation.
Authorities have deposited the woman’s body at Lagos Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, while efforts are ongoing to trace both her identity and that of her fleeing companion.
The police have assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the cause of the woman’s death and apprehend the man involved.
