President Tinubu has reshuffled his cabinet.
He announced the reshuffle during the ongoing Federal Executive Council meeting.
Tinubu and the FEC have decided to abolish the Ministry of Niger Delta and the Ministry of Sports Development.
In their place, a new Ministry of Regional Development will be established to supervise all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, and North East Development Commission.
The National Sports Commission will assume the responsibilities previously held by the Ministry of Sports.
The FEC has also given its approval for the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.
